El Taller del Aire brings together teachers with complementary backgrounds in artistic creation, teaching, technical research and the study of art history and philosophy. A training approach that integrates craft, knowledge and reflection.

Artistic career
Alberto Donaire Hernández, who holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, is a professional painter with more than forty years of artistic experience. His pictorial work is framed within symbolic realism.
His role in the training programme
At El Taller del Aire, he teaches Art History and Philosophy. His classes invite students to understand artistic experience in its full breadth, addressing questions such as transcendence in art and the cultural roots of the West.

Training and painting craft
Jacobo Alcalde Gibert is in charge of teaching painting techniques, providing training deeply rooted in the knowledge of traditional procedures. Trained at the Complutense University, the Arauco Foundation and Antonio López’s studio, his career combines artistic practice with the study of old master painting.
The craft behind painting
His teaching focuses on mastering the materials, processes and crafts that have historically supported pictorial creation. From this perspective, technique stops being merely a means and becomes a language with value of its own.

Coordination and teaching
At El Taller del Aire, Ester Nicolás Lloveres is the main coordinator of the three-year training programme, as well as teaching life drawing and painting.
Technical rigour and artistic thought
Trained at Atelier Madrid, with additional studies in Illustration and university-level arts education from a humanistic perspective, her teaching approach integrates technical rigour with aesthetic and philosophical reflection.

El Taller del Aire is located in Madrid, at Calle Sancho Dávila 21, next to La Fuente del Berro Park and very close to the Las Ventas bullring.
